Finance Minor| Minor
The finance minor is primarily designed for business, accounting, marketing, sports management, entrepreneur and human resource majors. However, all majors are welcome to take the finance minor. It's designed for students seeking a deeper understanding of the financial environment under which businesses operate and money management.
Required Courses for the Finance Minor
Students are required to take 18-19 semester credits, including:
AC 101 Accounting Principles (3 Semester Hours)
FN 320 Corporation Finance (3 Semester Hours)
FN 404 Financial Systems (3 Semester Hours)
FN 405 Investments (3 Semester Hours)
Students are also required to take 1 course from the following Finance Minor Group 1:
EC 100 Survey of Economics (3 Semester Hours)
EC 201 Principles of Macroecronomics (3 Semester Hours)
EC 202 Principles of Microeconomics (3 Semester Hours)
As well as 1 course from the following Finance Minor 2 Group:
MN 215 Business Statistics (3 Semester Hours)
MT 207 Probability and Statistics (3 Semester Hours)
PS 204 Statistics (4 Semester Hours)
